This July marks one year since we launched Flooret Commercial, and we’re celebrating with three new commercial-only collections. The first, Strata Grounded, is a concrete-look LVT and the first collection built in collaboration with an outside designer.
Here's how it came together.
Meet the Designer
Heather Ehin has spent more than 20 years designing residential, hospitality, and commercial healthcare spaces, but her instinct for design started earlier. As a kid, she would map out floor plans in the woods behind her father's childhood home and walk through imaginary rooms.
Years in the industry gave that instinct a new focus. Heather saw the same shortcomings in concrete-look LVT again and again: bevels that read too much like tile, dimensions that fall short of the look of poured concrete, and sheen that can be difficult to balance with commercial slip-rating requirements.
She knew what she wanted from the category. She just needed the right partner to create it.
How the Collaboration Started
“When I met the Flooret Commercial team, I felt their approach to the commercial space was unique. There was an excitement and eagerness to learn, grow, and fill gaps within the commercial flooring industry.”
Designing a commercial flooring collection had been in the back of Heather’s mind for years. After connecting with Neal Puckett, VP of Flooret Commercial, she saw an opportunity to bring a designer’s perspective directly into the product development process.
That collaboration became Strata Grounded.

Strata Grounded combines cool grays and deep earth tones with varied aggregate patterning for a concrete look that feels urban and modern, yet warm and tailored.
The collection comes in a 24"x24" tile format with a 30 mil wear layer, available in eight standard colorways plus five additional colors by special order.

What's Next
Strata Grounded is the first Flooret Commercial collection created in collaboration with an outside designer, but it won’t be the last. Two more designer-collaborated collections are already in development for 2027.
